The Leonie Store is curated by moi, Leonie (up here, hi!). My background is as speckled as my too-many-sunburns-freckle-face: I was born and raised on a sheep farm in Namibia, and I since have lived, studied and worked in a host of countries (and continents). In but all of the places I have ventured, I have gotten most desperately lost looking for some hidden charity store or rumoured flea-market. I have collected (read: hoarded) vintage clothing and ornaments in every capacity since I was a teenager, gladly giving my little pocket money to the Salvation Army with purely selfish intentions of thrifting the find of all finds (my weakness: vintage brogues in every rendition).
Everything sold in the Leonie Store has been lovingly mended and cleaned, comes with a signature scent and is packaged with great attention to detail to usher the product into its new lifespan. The majority of garments are made of natural fibres. By repurposing quality goods from bygone eras, lending a platform to vintage as well as preloved clothing and limited run apparel made from sustainable fabrics, it is my contribution towards accountability in these times of senseless lifestyle excess.
